In My Own Words
I'm a Kenyan DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for dynamic sets that blend Afrohouse, disco edits, and electronic textures. As a founding member of the DJ/producer collective EA Wave, I’ve been deeply involved in shaping Nairobi’s alternative music scene — what many now call the #NuNairobi movement. My sound is rooted in rhythm, emotion, and a constant drive to explore what’s possible on the dancefloor and beyond.
The Process
Every track, set, or remix I create starts with a mood. I build from emotion first — layering textures, samples, and percussion that reflect not just where I am, but what I’m feeling in the moment. Genre isn’t a boundary for me. Whether it’s ambient, Afrohouse, or something entirely new, the process stays intuitive, fluid, and always evolving.
My work also extends beyond the music. I often collaborate with visual artists and designers to create immersive, multisensory experiences that bring the sound to life in new ways.
